Product Comparison: QUOAOR Premium Gaming Mouse Pads

QUAOAR Gaming Gears mouse pad comparison

In this product comparison we'll be looking at the premium gaming mouse pad line up from QUAOAR Gaming Gears.

We've been thoroughly impressed with the quality and uniqueness of these mouse pads and we're keen to help you understand the similarities and differences in the product range.

If you're looking for a quick and easy demonstration of the differences in these pads you can check out this video below.

We'll move through the list in order of speed, from fastest to slowest. Keep in mind, this article will only include the OCEANUS, AETHER, PERSEUS and HERCULES as these are the pads that we've been able to test here at eSports Gaming Gear. We'll update this article in the future once we're able to test the NEUTRON and ACHILLES.

QUAOAR's fastest pad: The OCEANUS.

The OCEANUS is a textured hybrid pad with a rough feel. The pad comes in a bright red colour with sub-surface stitching and a genuine Rogers PORON base, developed in collaboration with QUAOAR. We consider the hardness of the PORON base to be 'SOFT'. The logo is printed on the surface of the pad and will cause a collision with your skates if you move over it (so far this hasn't bothered us in game). The texture on this pad will feel very familiar to anyone who has used an Artisan Hien. The texture and speed is not dissimilar to the Hien and we imagine anyone who has mained the Artisan would feel right at home on the OCEANUS.

QUAOAR's smoothest pad: The AETHER.

The AETHER is very smooth to touch with a fine weave. It comes in a deep royal blue colour and, in line with the other QUAOAR pads we've used, comes with some of the best stitched edges we've ever seen. The hardness of the genuine Rogers PORON base is what we would consider 'SOFT'. This base hardness seems consistent across a few of QUAOAR's mouse pads. The AETHER is a control pad but on the quicker end of the spectrum, speed wise, in our experience it has been similar to an Artisan Zero but with less texture. The AETHER is a unique pad with a very smooth feel on the skin and low to medium dynamic and static friction.

QUAOAR's do it all pad: The PERSEUS.

The PERSEUS is QUAOAR's do everything pad. It comes in a very vibrant orange colour. The pad seems like it's almost glowing on your desk! The hardness of the PORON base is consistent with the OCEANUS and AETHER with a 'SOFT' feel. The PERSEUS has slightly more texture on it's surface than the AETHER but is still a lot smoother than the OCEANUS. The speed sits below the AETHER in both static and dynamic friction and is what we would call a control pad but not a mud pad.

QUAOAR's most aesthetic pad: The HERCULES.

The HERCULES is a stunner. It come in a bright white colour that looks like fresh snow in particular light with a reflective sheen. The pad is also an awesome performer. The HERCULES is the slowest pad that we've ever tested here at eSports Gaming Gear. The dynamic friction on this pad is next level. The static friction is also quite high, it can give you a feeling of being stuck in place if you're used to faster pads. Once acclimatised though, it becomes a joy to use for games that require high precision. It also feels phenomenal on your skin. The PORON base is what we would consider an 'XSOFT' feel. So it might not be for you dot users out there. The other thing we noticed with the HERCULES is that it is sensitive to skate size, larger skates were significantly slower than smaller skates.

Thanks for taking the time to check out our product overview of the QUAOAR Gaming Gears line up at eSports Gaming Gear. We hope this has helped you get a better idea of what the QUAOAR premium gaming mouse pads have to offer.
